English Language Challenges

Hello everyone,!!

 Today is the last blog sessions, and I have to do the post as soon as possible because I will need to run to my department to pack my luggage, and after, run again to the bus station!!!

My experience with the English courses in my University was always fine. I think every extra hour for the English practice is a benefit for the students. at the same time, I believe, that kind of courses in the universities are necessary to educate complete students.

To begin, related to the exercises in classes, I think the blog's sessions are the best, because, it permits to multiply your vocabulary, rising your writing skills, and at the same time, gives the possibility to improve the reading abilities. Furthermore, the writing and reading skills in the classrooms were not develop this semester because the last course of English is oriented to increased the speaking aptitudes, reaching a good level to communicate. However, I think is very difficult to get the same level of English in the same class, all students have different skills to make it better; and for that reason is laborious to be democratic with learning. Nevertheless all the teacher I had in my University courses gave us their best effort to teach the contents correctly, for this reason, I feel very thankful.

I believe this year has been my best year related with English, the reason for this, is that I have acquired more awareness about the importance of this foreign language. Now I can watch tv series in English, comprehend the lyrics of songs, even, I'm trying to read in English. 

Changes to study programme

 Hello everyone !

This is my penultimate blog and I'm very happy for that... the end is coming...

The topic of the blog today is "Changes to my study programme"

This is a very hard topic, because, the possibly changes depends on my interests. But definitely, the first situation I would change is add a  professional title; because study four years to get a bachelor, and after we have a fifth year only to do the thesis, in addition, we study a lot to pass the courses, and that is a reflect of our hard work, and the excuse is related with the range of our work area, then, they can't give us only one professional title. In contrast, the other faculties in my campus, give the students the possibility to choose a specialisation, therefore, they may choose a title with their preference. I firmly think, this situation is really unfair, however, I have a lot of classmates who think this is a very good situation, because gives us the possibility to do what we want in the future, even, not relating with the Art.

This is an eternal discussion in my career... 

The other ambit I would change in my programme is related with the infrastructure. Recently, in 2015  we could have a bathroom, and I think that was an awful situation, because having a place with a toilet is part of the basic needs for the human being. What's more, the classrooms for the Theory students are in disastrous conditions; and if I count the rumors about the classrooms in Plastic's Arts... they are in the same status...

We have a lot work to do with our faculties and programmes... 

My summer Holidays

Hello Everyone!!

I have some problems with this topic, because my holidays always are boring ajajajaja. I never have holidays with my family because my parents are separated, and my brothers have their own families, then they have vacations with their own core. My Dad loves his work (really, like the love of his life), and always works for holidays, and my mother mostly goes out with her girlfriends to Viña del mar or sometimes, they organize travels abroad.

My summer holidays, most of the time consists of visiting my cousin's house, swimming in the pool, eat while we are watching movies, and the next day I repeat the routine jajaja (I always raise my weight in summers because of that).

Furthermore, all years me and my school friends go out, for instance, a weekend in the countryside, or five days in a beach of the seventh region, but I with my friends I always have a good time, I really love them (and I think they love me as well) <3.

The next summer I pretend to work, because I want to save money to pay the IELT's and go abroad to study. At the same time I want to do a work to practice and get more experience, and add that experience in my Curriculum Vitae. I will try to get the practice with the Cultural Director in my region or maybe in the Regional Theater of Talca or in the Municipal Theater of Curicó, at least, I want to do two practices of those options.

Hello Again,

The topic of today is a picture of me, and I think that's means; a picture I liked of me.

This photograph is one of my favorites, my mother took that on the first day of my first nephew Gianluca in playschool. I was eight or maybe nine years old (yes, I was a very young aunt) and I wore my favorite fleece jacket (because in Talca the weather is very cold in March), next to me  you can see my father with his characteristic shirt, holding his first grandson in his important day.

Firstly, I love this photo because I love my nephew (He is my favorite one ajajaj although he didn't know jajajaj I try to be equitable with my other nephews, but Gianluca really stole my heart forever).  Furthermore, this  was very spontaneous, and I believe  the poses of my dad and me represent the special day; in addition, our face shows our happiness and incredible pride for our baby who grew up very fast (today he is fourteen years old).

As well as the emotional sense, I think this is a very good picture, because is very focus from the center, and the brightness allows you to see our faces clearly. However, this picture could be better, this has some details which I could change, for instance, the hand of my  nephew in his face, the shadow on my right side and the white border of the place ( which I don't remember).

post-gradues studies

Hello everyone,

Firstly, I'm not certain about my future I have a lot of ideas in mind.

Sometimes, people think which my career is for hippies or for "open minded people" and I think this not incorrect jajaja, but, I feel I'm the exception. I really like the office work and I will try to study a post-grade related with this area.

I would like to study a master in cultural management; or maybe some grade in political science, even, I'd glad to learn about public administration. The reason about it is that I would want to get a charge in cultural direction in my region, the current director is a journalist with a post-grade in cultural management, however, I firmly think is not the same worries from an Art Bacherlor's degree than journalism. In addtion, my biggest expectation in my career's future is to get an important charge in the Cultural Ministry. I think I really have the abilities to practise this work.

The centre of studies, depends on my life situation, for instance, if I stayed in Chile, or if I didn't have the money to pay the post-gradues, all could happen from here to two years. In contrast, If I started to dream, I would like to study in London, because, currently is the main country in Cultural production.

FUTURE JOB

Hello Again!

Firstly, I'm firmly think kinds of jobs are a great opportunity to grow up in the laboral world. If you have dedication and love in your work, you have more possibilities to rising in your career. 

If I could choose a future Job, I'll like to get a cultural charge in the government, that is my biggest dream.

Currently, a different kind of professionals have the charge in the  Cultural Ministry, and I think all the bachelor's degree are not prepare for this department. The most of the Art Bachelor's Degree  have a practical development in their careers. In contrast, the theoretical careers in this discipline, include in studies all the features in Art, like, drama, music, visual art, in addition, the administration, and public politics. therefore, they are more able to develop a charge related with the government. On top of that, get a political charge in the cultural sphere, gives you a stable salary. Thinks that is a very good job for me because I'm a very structure and organized person, I always try to be the ordered with my finance and my responsibilities, so, I believe they are a very good strengths for this kind of job.

Maybe, if I really work hard, my dreams will come true .

Your favourite song

Hello Every Body !

Today I want to tell you about my favorite song, and this is: Always by Bon Jovi.

I really love this song because I think the instruments are very integrated; and makes a melodic symphony with the piano, violin, drums, guitars, and bass, but, the best part of the song is the voice of Jon Bon Jovi. 

I heard this song for the first time watching TV, TCM channel always shows a lot of concerts, and in this case, this channel showed the concert of New Jersey album by Bon Jovi, in London, 1995. Jon Bon Jovi looked very handsome in his denim jacket, tight blue jeans and shawl in his blonde hair, made the perfect combination of man! 

The concert went very good, the music was energetic, but, when Jon sang "always" all the crowd began to scream and cried. In that moment I Thought the groupies were very strange, but NOT ! they were RIGHT! The song was very emotional, and made me feel in love. 

The lyrics of the song are romantic at all! I firmly think Bon Jovi and Richi Zambora were extremely in love when they composed this song. Incite  people to believe in LOVE.

a favourite piece of art.

-I think  I don't  have a favourite piece of art. I am still finding my favourite artist or piece of art. At the moment I only have a favourite style of arte and this it: Rococó.

-I like the Rococó because the paintings, and the decorations were for private and small spaces. Only the aristocratic groups, like the kings or the nobleness had Rococó objects; for instance, the furniture, the paintings, the dresses of the ladies, etc. All of the people who liked Rococó art, were very worried about their own aesthetic presentation, they always wore make-up  and wig, their were definitely fancy.

One of the most known artist of the Rococó's style was Fragonard:
 - He painted about the enjoyment, the luxurius of the places, the botanic gardens, and the may of his paintings was the gallantry.

-For example, you can see in this picture how the lady of the  swing flirt with the man in the shrub. She trow her shoe like a gesture to tell him: "I'm available to get a romance with you".

-This kind of paintings were very interesting for he royalty because, they were the only in the kingdom were able to enjoy and appreciate this kind of art; they thought they were a superior taste  in art and for this reason they only dedicated to pleasure.

the best concert I've had

Panic at the disco!
The best concert I've ever had was in 2009, when my ex favorite band Panic at the disco arrived in Chile in April of that year.

I bought the tickets as soon as I knew about the concert, but I was too little to go by myself, so my oldest brother had to take me to the concert. He loves the music, He wanted to be a rock musician before, he didn't discriminate the different kinds of music. 

This band was an alternative, circus, rock band, and I was an alternative teenager, I wanted to be different from my classmates, then I was listening another kind of music, from the rest of them.

The concert was in the Movistar Arena, and my father got us VIP tickets to see my idols the nearest we could. My brother Marche was all the time by my side, and I was annoying because I jumped, danced, screamed and my brother wanted to protect me from the other jumps jajaja I had to tell him live alone and go to the bottom of the ground ajajajja I was the worst.

after the concert, the news of Canal 13 asked me about the concert, and after that I'd to run because my father was outside and We had to come back to Talca fastly, because the next day I got the SIMCE in my school, I slept only 3 hours, it was workth it.

A country i'd like to visit

Hello everybody again,
Today I'm going to talk about a country I would like to visit.
My country dream always have been Italy because My Family has Italians customs, and my father always inculcated that tradition to me and my brothers, but first I would like to visit England, because I think the only way to learn a good English, is live in a place with that language.

 So, I would like to travel to London in the first semester of my last year of the career, because in that semester I could organize myself, save money, and get an exchange to the University College of London (UCL) on Art History, maybe with that methodology of study I could be a bilingual person.

I know only a few things of the country, all of them related with the monuments, like the Big Ben and the Buckingham Palace, but I think England has more places to visit than the most known like, Liverpool, Stonehenge, Bath, Cambridge.

"Evaluation of your Blogging Experience"

My overall experience on the blog sessions has been good because it is a good writing exercise for those who want to learn another language. Many times my teacher has had to correct my grammar on the blog's, especially in the past tenses, but corrections are good, so I can improve every day.

I not feel my development in the escitura has improved due to the Blog's sessions, learn more in the classroom when the teacher makes us write by hand on a topic. With the blog's sometimes many have cheated and we searched words internet translators. In the future prefer this type of form did not exist because I do not consider fully effective, they might function as homework, but not as a class session.

I wish I could learn to write correctly in English. I hope to go to London exchange, so I hope to improve my writing and my pronunciation to understand what happens in class.


In general, English classes have motivated me to continue making progress in this foreign language and have become aware of its importance for the future. I hope that very soon not have the need to look up words I do not understand the Internet and can be proud of my progress and those who have contributed to that.

travels

I mistakenly erased everything he had written for the blog, then I will try to resume my ideas.

My dream is  travel to Europe, I would like to know all countries, but I have a special interest in the countries of Italy, France, Greece and Russia. I think the important thing is not only the place, the people who accompany you are traveling is important too. I would travel to Italy with my dad, I think the dream of traveling to Italy of my dad is greater than mine, because all the hobbies relate with Italian customs. I would love to travel to France and Greece with my boyfriend because I think they are the most romantic countries, especially the city of Paris and the Cyclades Islands. Finally, I would like to go Russia alone, the reason can be funny look but this is: as a child loved the movie "Anastasia", this film tells the story of the legend of the lost daughter of Zar Nicholas II -Romanov dynasty- also recreates some beautiful landscapes with the most luxurious palaces. I think Russia is a place to remember, I have not exactly about what I should to remember but I will be waiting for the answer once trip to this country.

A Subject I've enjoyed studying this semester

I choose My career because I love Art and the way that make me feel, I draw and sometime I paint too, but when I take a book I feel how my brain absorbed the contents. My career mix my two loves in a theoretical way.

My favourite course in my career at this moment is Art History, and this year, especially this semester I like the teaching methodology because the Miss focuses on image analysis. 

The subject that I most liked was Impressionism. I like the way the painters worked intensely colors and smoothness by which developed his paintings, each painting was a unique work delivering completely painter particular impression on its historical context. It's nice when artists are aware of events and be able to convey the story through painting.

But I have one criticism of the development of the course. Often they mention us the historical period of the artist or visual work, but not internalized in the historical context, when often the context contributes to a correct analysis of the painting and also helps the student to associate artistic periods with a time specific.

A career-related website that you enjoy to visit.

The website that I often use to my career is www.wordreference.com because, the most of my homeworks, reports and test are written. All my teachers require me a good writing, then I need to know synonyms to to avoid repeating the words, besides, is necessary to know the meaning of words to make a coherent written. This website allows me to get all the conjugations I need to do my work.

Often turn to this website, even when I do not remember the meaning of certain words or have doubts about how a word is written, which is why I turn to the website daily. It is a page that can all be used to everyday problems, also it is a well known website for students of secondary and university for being easy to use.

For all these reasons it is that I believe that www.wordreference.com is a website that everyone needs in their lives. Especially good for me because the technology is not mine, then to be easy, useful and a good dictionary in English / Spanish It helps me with my language needs.

FOOD

The food is the most important priority in my family, because i have two big brothers and two nephews who eat so much, and very fast. When I was a child, I thought that the second of my brothers was competing with me, he was always the first to finish the lunch, then my parents gave  him permition to watch TV in their bed, and choose his favorite program. When I saw this situation, I would won the TV prize. But while faster I ate, I fattened faster, and that didn't to my mom. The competition became anxious, and I only wanted to eat. All my childhood I was on a diet, but, when I was eighteen, I  became aware, and I could lose weight.

I have two favorite foods, the pastas and bean stew ("porotos granados"), I could eat all the days of the week, but I only know who to cook the pastas, the "porotos granados" have more preparation in the kitchen, and with the studies my time to cook is reduced. I like the vegetables too, but the only stuff of food that I hate with my sould, are the ocean stuff, makes me feel sicknees only with their odor.

The picture I like...

This is not my favorite picture, but definitely it's one of my favorites. This picture is especial for me because the people that appear on it were my classmates since kinder garden, middle school, and then in high school, we were always in the same the class, we never had a new classmate from another school or grade because we were a problem class, but as we were growing up together, we learned to comprehend the different personalities that each other had.

This picture was taken in Camboriú beach,  Brazil, in the year 2012. This is the usual destiny that the study trip goes in my old School. Probably it was taken by a mom of one my classmates.

My old classmates and me currently are still in contact, we talk every day, and actually, this weekend we will see each other in my home. They are not only my friends, they are my family.

Music:

Music is very important in my life because, I listen to different styles depending on the situation; when I have to Study I usually listen to classical music, i have in my MP3 a track of three hours of music, is the playlist that I listen to the most, because I study all day, but when I have time to do exercise my favorite style music is the reggaeton, because it motivates me to do the physical practice with more energy; But my life is not just books and gym, when I clean my house or when I walk to my boyfriend's house, I listen to the best rock player and handsome singer in the world, he is Bon Jovi, I love rock and the lyrics about love, also, Jon Bon Jovi mixes both of my favorite topics in music rock and love; I want to play in my guitar the chords of Bon Jovi's songs, but the guitar player of this band composes very difficult music for me to play with my guitar.

My favorite piece of technology:

My favorite pieces of technology  are my laptops. I have 2 of them one of 14'' and another of 11.6''. The oldest of them was bought  by my mom  when i started the first year at the University of Chile, I love it because it is very fast when I surf the internet or when I do my homework, but the only problem is that it's so big and heavy that i can never bring it to the university. but the last year, I met a student from Spain in my precolombian course, she transcribed the whole lesson on a little laptop, and she told me  that that was the easiest way to study, and I agreed with her. So, last year, I saved the necessary money to buy myself one of my own and now studying is so much easier. My university life without them would be archaic because I would have to come back to the pencils and books.

Why did i choose this career?

When I was a child, my dream was to become a famous actress, travel around the world, film a lot of movies, have fans and bring a lot of gold to my home. As I was growing up, the idea of being an actress was stuck in my head until I graduated high school. But, i had a problem...  I came from a little city in the south of the country, the infomation and the acting classes were not available in Talca, so, I just kept on dreaming in my own fantasy.

When I was in the last year of  high school, the requirements to get into the career of acting at the Catolica University, I had to give a three especial tests; one of physical practice, one of singing, and finally the test of the improvisation. In the afternoon of that day, the result of the income was published in a blackboard... and when I saw my name there, my dream was completed.
 
But when i was inside the career i suffered a lot, the teachers and classmates didn't understand my feelings about my emotions and my physical fatigue, and I wasn't able to coincive the way they thought about life. So, I comprehended that that career wasn't for me, I moved to talca again to think about my future, I liked the arts but i didn't want to paint or draw all my life, I missed the study and the books, so, I visited the psicopedagogical office of my old school and she recommended me one career that I didn't know before, and I decided to take the change, and now I'm really happy, i found amazing teachers and classmates, I learned a lot of history and phyilosofy, and the most important thing, is I finally found myself.

A place i like to visit...

My dream is to visit Italy, because my family is Italian descendent of a Cerdeña Island, and that is the way i was brought up. My Father all my life has been obsessed with this tradition; he loves the pasta, he talks too loud, the Italian soccer, even the name of my brothers and mine are Italians. I hope when I work be able to pay for a ticket to travel with my dad and make our dreams come true; maybe I can travel before... because I would like study my doctorate in that country, if that happened, my father will be the happiest!!
